The final time piece, a vertical sundial, began it's journey of fruition in the form of a wood frame boarder. Note the scarf joint used to join timbers on the left. This technique has been use for years in wooden ship building.

oh my gosh!!! you wouldn't believe me. Me and my hubby were just recently in clocks museum and there were this paintings from 18th century where you could see as an example detail picture on part of village - church with clock and few other buildings. Of course the clock on the church were real so the outcome was sort of 3D functional picture 
And I was just thinking how to sort of "re-create" it but in a more modern way and here you tell me to check your new piece of art and that's exactly it!!!! This is just unbelievable!!! And of course it's stunning there is no doubt about it!
