You know how to mold things. This process is like a digital mold. Certain expensive medical equipments can scan your entire body, veins, bones, muscles, skin, and create a highly detailed 3d version of yourself. Artists have taken advantage of that and can do stuff like print a 3d version of whatever you scan. And it can either copy the colors or you can make it so that it looks like wood, metal, or marble.
