Description
Colored pencil, paper.
The original intent was a study in organic foreshortening. (the tail of the dragon) Because it was too large to scan, approximately 1 inch has been cropped from all four boarders.
This was my second attempt at using colored pencil. Much of the background here is from the background of da Vinci’s Mona Lisa. It appears to be plagiarized but is not. The basic shapes from the original were morphed into other images … mostly faces of animals, people and creatures. In all, there are a total of 32 faces hidden throughout the entire design. Just above the bridge is a profile of the artist and in the shadows of the dragon are faces of dark demons.
Do not use/distribute, edit, color, recolor, trace, post on photobucket/other image websites, or otherwise manipulate without my permission.

Impressive composition. Nothing wrong with using the Mona Lisa as reference.
